Fresh fish and seafood on display, clean, organised shop. We ordered Flake, Chips and a Cheeseburger for takeaway. The flake was the best I’ve ever had, tender and juicy, not greasy or overcooked. Chips were great and the medium serve was very generous! Cheeseburger was tasty, fresh roll and very enjoyable!
Definitely return next time we’re in Bendigo!

Great Old-School Fish & Chips with Friendly Service
We had a really enjoyable experience at Mick’s Fish and Chips in Bendigo. The service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming — something that’s getting harder to find these days. The food itself was great: simple, good-quality fish and chips done right, without any unnecessary fuss. It’s not trying to be gourmet — and that’s exactly what makes it so good.
In a time when takeaway prices keep climbing, Mick’s offers decent value for money. It reminded us of how fish and chips used to be — honest, tasty, and served with a smile. If you’re up for braving the cold, grabbing a seat outside gives you a pleasant view over the lake across the road. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after a classic fish and chips experience that delivers on what it promises.

The best fish and chips we've had in a long time. Beautiful light crispy batter on the flake and crab sticks. Fantastic that they offer gluten free, having a kid with coeliac, take out is often tricky to find true gluten free options- they have a separate fryer etc.
I will say (in the nicest way possible) just looking at the building, not knowing they offer gluten free I would probably not order from there but I was pleasantly surprised. So to the owner a little bit of TLC on the building would go a long way. Highly recommend

I popped into this shop with my family on the weekend and I was taken by surprise how tasty and fresh the food was and how quick it was served up! To top it off, the lady serving us had exceptional customer service and was the only person in the shop that day! Could not recommend this place enough
